Target House | St. Jude

Promotional Poster Production Design

During their almost 20-year partnership with St. Jude, Target has made possible the construction of St. Jude Target House, a place that gives families the chance to maintain a sense of normalcy in their lives during a difficult time. St. Jude Target House #1 opened in 1999 and St. Jude Target House #2 opened in 2002. Together, they make up a facility where families who need to be at St. Jude from 90 days to up to three years or more have privacy, independence and support. The apartments are patient-friendly and fully furnished with everything from linens to appliances and furniture.

Target House is more than just a place to stay β€” it’s a community where patient families can share in their struggles and victories, and receive compassion, comfort and strength. In a difficult time, Target House is a place to live, heal and thrive.

I had the honor of laying out different ways to interpret the custom artwork created by Tad Carpenter for the 10th and 12th annual
Target Heartwork Art Gala. I was given the original artwork provided by Tad to the Senior Art Director and got to work laying out different executions, tackling challenges along the way moving and tweaking artwork in order to integrate the typography in a seamless way. Getting the opportunity to work as a Production Designer on this sort of high profile, meaningful type of project was an absolutely fulfilling moment for me during my early days within Target Creative.
