3-D printable design + crafting + DIY customer activation with a Disney® property…sign me up! I was recruited to help with figuring out and in essence concept how to celebrate and promote the newest Disney character Big Hero 6 – Baymax via a DIY Pinterest downloadable/printable activity. No sweat right?! The Art Director that tapped me to collaborate had engaged Minneapolis award winning illustrator, Sherwin Schwartzrock, to create the original artwork for the Baymax printable mask and blasters. The rub though was that I first had to figure out how to make the never before created wearable + downloadable + usable template that Sherwin would be able to follow and illustrate to…so the pressure was on. After many hours of cutting, folding, taping and redesigning I created a successful, whimsical and dare I say inspiring printable for this Big Hero 6 movie launch. It was a proud moment that I will always remember. My work was featured on the internal Target Corp. site “A Bullseye View” as shown in the following visuals showing a step-by-step way to make this at home fun come to life.
