Smith & Hawken
An established brand before Target purchased it in 2010, Smith and & Hawken stands for quality and style within the gardening and outdoor space. In 2016 our Designer Dawn LeBail took on the charge of redesigning Smith & Hawken and I worked right by her side as we picked new paper and substrates and print tested so many shades of green to pick the perfect combination. The addition of the tab system on the box formats allowed for printing of photography to be incorporated into the cardboard material.
This brand was small enough that I was able to design the packaging down to the item, or at least division, level. I developed the brand rules for the continuous and consistent execution of the brand while also focusing on the difference each packaging type within each area needs.
