Sugar Paper
In 2015 Target partnered with the L.A.-based brand, Sugar Paper. Co-founders Chelsea Shukov and Jamie Grobecker started the company as a side hobby in college, and now they get to share their love for letterpress with the masses, just in time for the holidays! With everything from wrapping paper and bags to gift tags and boxes.
I developed the logo for the partnership, keeping it simple and balanced. Working very closely with the founders of Sugar Paper to develop the style of the packaging as well as the packaging engineers and product designers to create the perfect formats for each product, and the print managers to source the ribbon and add the perfect gold foil accents not to mention adding my favorite part, the branded wooden ribbon spools.
I worked on this partnership most of my career in packaging, every year a slight change to the design, every year working with the same product and Sugar Paper team, this might have been my brand partnership brand to work on.
